In Collect, The Announcer appears as the sole threat of the Military Base. Like other creatures, The Announcer will approach the closest custard to the player and wander around it, until it spots the player - either by the player being in its field of vision or by the player being too close to it.

When the player is spotted, The Announcer will emit a loud repeating alarm noise and chase the player until there are no nearby players. If it is next to a player, it will quickly use its blaster together with its arm to attack which will kill any players within range. It is a very significant threat due to the cramped nature of the map as well as the hit box of its attack animation being activated early. In Versus, it is replaced by the Mini-Announcer. The Announcer appears as the boss of the tenth wave in Military Base and Fortress. It can use a single Special Ability which is named “Custard Blast”. It is one of the enemies which has the least chance to be dealt a headshot due to its small head, the other being Chainsaw Dipsy.įor more detailed information, see Survival. The Announcer is available to be spawned as an enemy or an ally to the player.

It, the other droids, Ghost Girl (and presumably the Coat Men) are the only characters of the entire saga to not be teletubbies.According to its name, it is possible that The Announcer is in fact the Voice Trumpet that gives orders to the Teletubbies. It shares its attack speed with the Cave Tubby, the Arrow Tubby, Spider Po, the Shadow Tubby, The Imposter, and the New Born Duo.Just like the Cave Tubby, The Announcer takes a longer time to hit again - this is notably seen on Sandbox Mode.It used to have its own special ability but as of V1.295, its unique power got shared with The Imposter. Its design may be inspired by Metal Gear Sahelanthropus from Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. The Voice Trumpets can be found throughout Teletubbyland.

They resemble speakers and have both male and female adult voices. At the beginning of every episode, they rise to let the Teletubbies know it's time for their show ("Time for Teletubbies!"). They rise out of the ground and entertain the Teletubbies through such activities like making animal sounds, singing nursery rhymes and lullabies, and even giving instructions. At the end of every episode, a Voice Trumpet rises to let the Teletubbies know that it is time to say goodbye.
